Pocket Points App Chico

US College Students can get free food from not using their phones in class!

Students at colleges including Penn State & California State University, Chico, are using an app called ‘Pocket Points’ that tells you how long your phone is kept locked.

The more time you keep your phone locked, the more points you get – as simple as that.

Theorically, for every 20 minutes a phone is left locked while the app is running, students earn one point, but this process can be faster — the more students are using the app on campus at the same time, the faster points are paid out.

This app was developed by a student at Chico university in order to make students realize and pay attention to the classes they pay thousands of dollars for.
