This Center will focus on Maps, Safety and Autonomy.<\/div>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<div class=\"m-article__share-buttons\"><\/div>\n<div class=\"m-article__share-buttons\">In fact, this &#8216;breaking news&#8217; is not much of a surprise. Uber CEO Travis Kalanick declared last May that cars were an inevitability for the company&#8217;s business.\u00a0&#8220;The reason Uber could be expensive is because you&#8217;re not just paying for the car \u2014 you&#8217;re paying for the other dude in the car,&#8221; said the CEO during an interview.<\/div>\n<div class=\"m-article__entry\" data-twttr-id=\"twttr-sandbox-0\">\n<p>Uber is not the only company dreaming to make driving autonomous.
